We shipped the ClassicKBD Launcher — and this one matters.
Why it was needed:
Every client patch used to mean "go back to the website, download a new zip, extract again." That slows everyone down and leaves people on broken builds. We needed one install that can launch both worlds and update itself.
How it works:
1. Download ClassicKBD_Launcher.zip from the Download page
2. Right-click → Extract All (do NOT run files from inside the zip window)
3. Run Launch.bat from the extracted folder
4. Click Play beside Old ClassicKBD (43594) or New ClassicKBD (43595)
5. First Play installs that client from the bundled payload
6. Later Plays check for updates and only download changed files when the update site is reachable
Old uses the EasyRSC client; New uses the New ClassicKBD client. Same launcher, correct world.
Important: keep the payload folder next to Launch.bat. Opening the jar from Temp/zip storage will fail because Windows doesn't unpack the full package.
From here on, client patches should not require a fresh website download if you already have the launcher.
